Vice President Cde Phelekezela Mphoko has commended local farmers for their commitment to increase output despite the prevailing socio economic challenges.
Cde Mphoko toured several stands at the 2017 edition of the Harare Agricultural Show today.
The Vice President who was accompanied by senior government officials and the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society board members told the ZBC News he is impressed with the quality of products and services being showcased at the annual farming business event.
“The increased participation of exhibitors is therefore an indication that Zimbabwe’s agriculture value chain system is on a recovery path,” said Cde Mphoko.
Several farmers, agro-business firms, small and medium enterprises, the manufacturing sector and mining corporates are taking part at this year’s Harare Agricultural Show.
