Preparations for the 2017 edition of the Harare Agricultural Show are now at an advanced stage, with over 92 percent of the available exhibition space already occupied.
With some few days left for the show to commence 67 891 square metres of exhibition space has been taken up and some exhibitors have already started sprucing up their stands in preparation for the event.
Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) chief executive officer, Dr Anxious Masuka said preparations for this year’s show are exciting given the preceding agricultural season and the show will create an interface for businesses with their customers.
ZAS has increased their capacity by 60 percent and has also started beefing up the security system with latest technologies in preparation for the show.
This year’s edition is taking place at the backdrop of the most successful agricultural season compared to the previous years.
Over 250 000 visitors are expected and more exhibitors are also expected on board.
The Harare Agricultural Show this year will be running under the theme, ‘Seed for Food: Innovate, Consolidate, Sustain’.
