The 2018th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show ends today with optimism by exhibitors on lucrative business deals.
Zimbabwe Agricultural Society chairman Mr Ivan Craig has described the Harare Agricultural Show as a success.
Mr Craig said renewed business confidence coupled with stable macro economic conditions also created a positive platform for exhibitors to showcase products and services.
“It was a great deal and initiative to the extent we are really grateful to the show organisers for their level of commitment,” he said.
Exhibitors said this year’s show also created opportunities of viable business deals, networking, expanding operations, and the promotion of brands to the targeted customers.
“It is that level of commitment which we anticipate to boost the level of earnings in the future as we seek to sustain operations in the economy,” said some of the exhibitors.
The 2018 Harare Agricultural Show was held under the theme, “Industry to Field: Produce, Connect, Develop” in line with the government’s policy to ensure the farming sector continues to play a huge role in overall socio-economic development of the country.
The Harare Agricultural Show surpassed expectations in terms of attendance and exhibits as there were 525 exhibitors compared to 503 last year.
