Gweru Agricultural and Trade Show has kicked off on a high note in the Midlands capital with many new exciting features having been lined for this year.
Organisers of the event are expecting more than 25 000 visitors to attend the annual event.
Chairman of the Gweru Show Society, Mr Augustine Mupakurirwa said this year’s show is much bigger with more than 165 exhibitors participating compared to the 150 exhibitors who took part last year.
He added several new exciting features such as the Miss Gweru Show Society and a business reception for networking are lined up.
Mr Mupakurirwa noted the command agricultural programme has also breathed life into this year show with livestock exhibition back in full force.
Chinese Ambassador, Mr Huang Ping who came at the invitation of the show society patron, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially open the Midlands Agricultural Show this Saturday.
The show is running under the theme, “Creating Wealth Through Value Addition”.
