Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa has held a meeting with soya bean production stakeholders at Munhumutapa offices in Harare this Thursday morning.
The meeting included Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development Minister Dr Joseph Made, Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Mr Justin Mupamhanga, the oil expressers association, bankers and other players.
The meeting is meant to find ways of attaining high soya bean production on the backdrop of the success in maize production in the 2016-2017 rainy season which saw a bumper harvest.
Adequate soya bean production will ensure that Zimbabwe produces enough cooking oil for the country and for exports.
