Cimas to unveal new products at Harare Agricultural Show
The Society will this year unveil two new medical aid products and a range of benefits to visitors to the Cimas Medical Aid Society’s Harare Agricultural Show stand.
Members will also be treated to exciting health-related activities and some free medical tests, while learning about their medical aid society.
Cimas will be showcasing all its strategic business units. Visitors to the stand will be able to take advantage of free health tests, resuscitation or CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training sessions, as well as wellness and fitness advice from health professionals. Cimas will also be conducting blood group, ideal weight, sugar level tests and blood pressure readings.
CPR is an emergency procedure for someone who is in cardiac and respiratory arrest. This procedure often combines chest compressions with artificial ventilation to manually preserve brain function until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing. CPR is recommended for those who are not breathing or experiencing abnormal breathing.
Visitors will also learn about the Society’s new offerings for individual and corporate clients. Cimas recently introduced two new packages, iCare for individual member needs and Prime package which caters for corporate medical requirements.
During the exhibition, members will also have an opportunity to register their fingerprints for biometric registration and at the same time participate in a competition on how best they know their Society.
imas will also be encouraging healthy lifestyles as a means of promoting the health of its members and people in general within the community. A healthy lifestyle plays a major role in promoting good health, whereas an unhealthy lifestyle can contribute significantly to several medical problems, in particular heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.
Visitors to the stand will also be able to learn about the improved medical aid packages, as well as the medical and healthcare services it provides.
Information will also be available at the stand on Cimas Medical Laboratories, Cimas primary healthcare clinics, Harare Dialysis, which caters for renal treatment and Cimas Rescue, our ambulance service, which also provides air evacuation in cases of medical emergency anywhere within the region. This unit can also escort patients on commercial flights, who may not need emergency evacuation but are not well enough to travel unaccompanied. – Cimas
